Caring for the Community – MHB’s Ramadan Donation Drive

Four days before the unexpected nation’s Raya Aidilfitri announcement, a group of employees of MHB had volunteered delivering grocery supplies and cash donations to 31 underprivileged families located at Kampung Pasir Putih, Kampung Pasir Gudang Baru and Kampung Cahaya Baru, Pasir Gudang, Johor.

A humble contribution was collected throughout the month of Ramadan among MHB employees in the effort to continuously connect to and care for the community of where it is operating. MHB then matched the employees’ contribution on a ringgit-for-ringgit basis in the spirit of giving and sharing our ‘rezeki’ with others who are in need.

Championing this programme was Encik Pandai Othman, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of MHB, with the support of Management Committee members and 25 volunteers. Special thanks to the three Head Villagers (Ketua Kampung) and their dedicated team members who had helped MHB throughout the programme (pre, during and post-activities), particularly in identifying the families and ensuring the contributions were channeled to the right recipients.

A portion of the contribution was also given to Persatuan Kebajikan Darul Hanan in Pasir Gudang, a welfare home for less fortunate children.
