MHB speaks at Aramco Offshore Projects Second Conference
Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB) was honoured to be one of the panellists alongside distinguished speakers from Aramco, NPCC, McDermott, Zamil Offshore and Saipem during the Aramco Offshore Projects Second Conference, held on October 24 – 25, at the Grand Hyatt Al Khobar Hotel, in Saudi Arabia.
Ahmad Zakri Md Salleh, Chief Financial Officer, represented MHB on the “Offshore Project Challenges” panel, to discuss MHB’s offshore capabilities, challenges and recoveries during the pandemic, as well as its aspiration to serve Aramco’s upcoming offshore developments as an EPCIC solution provider.
The Aramco Offshore Projects Second Conference showcased offshore capabilities, latest technology applications and innovative solutions in offshore projects, with a focus on oil and gas facilities.
Major offshore industry leaders, including various offshore contractors for engineering and construction, subcontractors, and suppliers, along with senior management and multiple organisations from Aramco attended the conference.
Attending on behalf of MHB were Pandai Othman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer; Ahmad Zakri Md Salleh, Chief Financial Officer; Shahfarin Selamat, General Manager of Business Development – Heavy Engineering; Jason Soosay Nathan, Senior Manager of Business Development – Heavy Engineering; and Abdullah Mohamed Alkhard – MMHE Saudi Country Representative.
Taking this opportunity, MHB exchanged views and expressed interest with Aramco to support each other in meeting IKTVA requirements through localisation and investments aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
MHB also had productive engagements with various local industrial players who are keen to support MHB locally in meeting the In-Kingdom Total Value Added (IKTVA) requirements.
MHB is also pleased to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kellogg Brown and Root Limited, Azmi Abdullatif Abdulhadi and Abdullah Mehana Al-Moaibed (KBR-AMCDE), for engineering works for upcoming Long-Term Agreement (LTA) projects within the Saudi Arabian region.
