IMPORTANCE NOTICE ON SCAM ALERT

Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (‘MHB’), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (‘MMHE’ or ‘Company’), would like to alert the members of the public on the false tender award document for a work scope of buying and recycling of metal scrap.

The false tender award document carries the MMHE name, MMHE’s old logo, MMHE’s registered address, MMHE’s corporate website and MMHE’s general email address. This is a scam as MMHE has never issued the said tender offer and has never awarded the said tender to any vendors.

MMHE has reported this matter to the authorities and the matter is still under investigation.

The public should be wary of such tender offer and award documents, and in the case of doubt, is advised to contact MMHE immediately. The Company will not be responsible to any persons, firms or companies who fail to take the necessary steps or actions to verify the false documents, and suffer any loss or damage as a result.
