Biggest Solar Panel Rooftop Installation in the Country
In moving towards sustainability in our business operations, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB) and PETRONAS exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding for the installation of solar rooftop solutions at MMHE West, Pasir Gudang, Johor. The MoU took place on 10 October 2019 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The installation is aligned with MHB’s business objective which are to reduce cost for operations through reduction in electricity bills and enhance our position in green technology towards conserving the environment. It is estimated and targeted assured generation of 200 Million kWh of solar power in 25 years.
This initiative is a part of MMHE Green Initiatives which was launched on 17 April 2019 at Training Center, MMHE West, Pasir Gudang, Johor with the theme of ‘Let’s Go Green, Save the Earth’.
MMHE Green Initiatives are aimed to inculcate environmental awareness among employees on the importance of individual action on the care of the global environment, focusing on the limited natural resources and the importance of recycling the waste generated as well as to reduce carbon footprint.
All programmes will be centered on three main areas which are reduction of electricity, water consumption and 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle).
